I blame the BBC Live Reporting thread at 16:06....

16:06
Vince stoic in defence
Warwickshire 188 & 186 v Hampshire 116 & 124-5
England's potential number three in the Ashes is doing a very good job of dragging Hampshire closer to Division One safety.

James Vince, who earned a recall to the England side yesterday, is currently 30 off 123 balls.

23 overs left to survive for the visitors at Edgbaston.

Only 20 odd overs left, Berg and Abbott are decent bats and Crane and Edwards can hang around.

Plenty of hope yet.

I don't know what the live feed is a bit later on, in relation to him supposedly getting out to an expansive drive. He played inside the line, and I'm not at all convinced he even hit it.

Only match out on the park now with Div 2 all done and dusted. Worcs and Notts promoted.

If nothing else, this match has made an enthralling end to the season.

How come we've got to 4:30 and they're saying 17 overs to go?

Yeah I think it is an over less. At 4.30, Warks has bowled 71 overs. (Actually, I think they had a ball or two of that 71st over left, but that's irrelevant)

17 would have the scheduled remaining overs to bowl the full 88, but I think Warks have lost one (effectively for not bowling quick enough during the day). I think.

16:45 Crficinfo and Kevan James agree that it's 14 overs from here.

An over ago cricinfo said 9.3 overs remaining, now it's saying 11.3!

Must have adjusted late for the last hour.
