I think 37 of them were in one over- Ross Whitely his 6 sixes and there was an extra!

Ouch! Great effort. Born in Sheffield too. Maybe a future signing.

Everyone's a winner. Yorks get a new T20 bat. Whitely gets to perform in front of 5000 erudite Leedsians. And Worcs get to fix the taps in their dressing room.

And Yorkshire still have a £40m debt. Where's the problem?

I'd like to think there was one but with test receipts falling almost exponentially and T20 up in the air any financial projections must be very speculative.

Interesting article from The Independent on the London domination of test cricket.

Rikki Clarke is rejoining Surrey next season on a two year deal. Adam Hose has left Somerset with immediate effect and joined Warwickshire on a three year deal. That seems strange with both involved in the relegation battle. What if Hose is an immediate success and his runs help save Warwickshire from the drop.

given that the London grounds can sell something like 120,000 tickets for a test match, and we would perhaps sell 60,000 tickets at a cheaper price than in London, it's hard to see FTECB doing anything about it, tbh. Their argument would always be that it would generate more money for the counties and the grassroots

Another all- rounder joins the Sorry ranks and more competition for Scott. He'll be back home next season if not sooner.

Borthwick would be welcome back for me. I think he listened to MDV and allowed his head to be turned with promise of his bowling being developed. Sold down the Thames with that one Certainly don't think he was lured by the Surrey shilling. Certainly wouldn't welcome back the other deserter.
