This was in Chesterfield. Would have gone if I was more switched on.

It's only good teams that win run chases at Chesterfield :hide
Fair play to Derbyshire-won 2 out of 2 T20's.

Really sickening incident in Birmingham v Notts game. Hain really hammered a drive straight back to bowler Fletcher who couldn't raise his hands in protection quickly enough and ball struck him flush on crown of head. Didn't lose consciousness but led off bleeding profusely. Players in real shock and gone off field for a break until 9.10pm.

They're playing again now so hopefully that's a sign that Fletcher is ok. Scary looking injury though.

Shahzad released by Sussex. I wonder if that means he has another county linked up already.

I saw that.... I wonder if he's fit? Durham could certainly use an impact bowler

Definitely. If he is fit it would be an ideal signing.

Peddled from 4 counties in 5 years. He'd certainly have an impact- on team spirit! If all was straightforward he'd be looking for a loan.

Yes, he does seem to find it hard to settle.

Talking of impact players Moin Ashraf certainly had one against us,was it Northants? Playing locally,Brandon is it. Worth a punt in a few T20's surely? Nothing to lose is there?

That's a very good idea.

Ajmal Shazhad met up with his former Yorkshire colleagues yesterday in the 2nd XI T20s at Pudsey, the grapevine suggests that his release was for family reasons.

Sussex press release suggests parting was perfectly amicable.
