And a good start is what Yorkshire will make given England player availability and the fact that they're playing Hants twice. Yorkshire do have an ageing attack hence more prone to injury but have the strength in numbers with bowlers to cope with that.
Hants attack last year was abysmal and whilst they have theoretically strengthened with Abbot it seems to have been ignored how ineffective he was at Worcs last season. Topley and Edwards are too injury prone to be relied on.
There seems to be little back up to Bailey and Jarvis at Lancs now that Tom Smith has sadly retired. They'll also lose Hameed and possibly Livingstone to England later in the season.
Essex are an unknown quantity but the loss of Masters must weaken their attack considerably.
Hants certs for relegation then probably with Essex.

Both Lancs and Hants more than holding their own. Looks like it's going to be a very competative division.

I was afraid for Warwickshire before the games started, now I put them top of the list as neither their batting or bowling is working.

Giles spells out the problem very clearly.

I'd agree that the Bears have difficult problems to fix, and it's refreshing to see a coach being so brutally honest about that. They are hugely reliant on a couple of players in the side, an god knows what has happened to Hain.

I was going for Essex, but they've had a pretty good start to the season...

shows you what we know

84% of the relegation vote went to the champions and 2 of the teams who are quite likely to finish in the top 3

I suppose the good news is that Somerset are looking less and less likely to be joining Warks in div 2.

It's good news because it means that Durham won't have to pay to join a caravan in order to go and play in the Kalahari next year

join a caravan?

stand up, stand up
