The 'change is coming ' tweets are becoming increasingly bizarre, one looks like a scene from a horror film and the other one is a bunch of children with cricket gear ...new signings with a few 6 year olds brought in?!

The style of making cricketers (or any sportsperson) look tough hombres is never a look that survives contact with the public.
I always say that everybody's right.

Apart from Sam Whiteman (66) with whom he shared an opening stand of 119, only one other player posted a double digit score and that one was 10..... although most of them did manage to hang around for a while........ there is a lesson there, somewhere, if only I had the wit to see it

Either way, Cameron... this is good practice for what is to come.... worth getting used to it before you come over

He made 86 in the second innings - and WA were all out for 147!

86 in 263 balls!

he did a one man job of trying to salvage a draw.... unsuccessfully in this case

always good to bring in a player who values his wicket.

Scoring 86 in a team score of 147 sounds like something that could happen at Durham- provided the others up their game and make 50 or so between them.

Preview of Raynor's book
focuses on the Academy. It appears that Cook has left the Academy in safe hands with Windows. Reading Stuart's book should provide a wonderful prelude to the season. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/c ... t-15891810

Interview with Franklin in CricketPaper reveals pre-season schedule. Fortnight indoor nets at Riverside followed by 12 days in South Africa with friendlies against York's and Notts.

perhaps they are just humouring Franklin.... lull him into thinking that he has a say in things and that his opinion counts
