or maybe the care home involved thinks that anyone supporting Durham must have some mental health issues that may in the future warrant some form of residential care?

Clearly what they've failed to grasp is that sitting in a corner with hands on head whilst muttering incoherently and rocking back and forth is actually a perfectly reasonable response to any new FTECB directive/initiative/statement

I think it is a sponsor, am sure the leaflet blurb mentioned something about being in partnership with Durham CCC.

Another ton for Markram making him leading run scorer in the series, runs also for the old man in the MCC v Essex game. No mention that any pre-season abandons will be arranged so fortunate that many of the players have been playing in the winter.
I'd start with
Markram
Steel
Smith
Clark
Colly
Richardson
Pringle?
Rimmington
Potts
McCarthy
Rushworth.

That's a pretty good lineup if the players perform to their potential.

It's a toss up between the pair of them. They could play both to the exclusion of Pringle who's bowling is unlikely to be used in the damp conditions.

particularly with Steel in the side should a bit of gentle spin be required

I have a feeling Pringle will be in the side with Poynter, regardless of conditions. It makes no sense to have either in, but there you go

Those two are strange ones - Poynter doesn't seem to be a particularly good keeper and a number 8/9 batsman in FC cricket and after several years I still haven't figured out if Pringle is supposed to be a batting all rounder or a bowling one - probably because he doesn't take many wickets or score many runs! He must be in the last chance saloon.

oh blimey. I've lost track of how long a last chance saloon can actually last.

Wor Dave taking nice little earner as non-executive director.
http://www.durhamccc.co.uk/news-and-med ... -director/

“I am also pleased that we have been able to recruit Allison Curbishley to the Board. Allison brings a wealth of experience of elite sport, grass roots sport, sports marketing and broadcasting and will be a huge asset to the Club.”-ITB
Sounds as if this is Allison Curbishley who is a former Scottish sprinter, partner of Steve Cram , and with no knowledge of cricket afaik.

Let's see if the changes result in a different approach - I have a feeling they won't!

Good news - the new CE says he is delighted to be able to call on the experience of Harker to help him in his new role.
What could possibly go wrong!

Doesn't look too bad considering the weather we've had. I see the trap door stand is still there!
