I missed it. Did he say anything noteworthy?
Said he's working on improving relations with FTECB. yes, seriously. Getting on the wrong side of the members immediately. Good day all round then :gun

 Sounds ominous! At least the weather forecast looks good for the ODI tomorrow- famous last words.

The Trapdoor stand has passed a safety check might be the most ominous last words :Nooooo

:lmao Let's hope the local A&E department has been alerted.

Very interesting. I think he's right about age bringing further anxieties/doubts. A poor run of form at his age might just be one of those runs every batsman has.
Thing is though he clearly isn't fully fit - hasn't bowled in this match, and that might well be age related. I think he'll start scoring runs if fit but the question is can he retain the required level of fitness or has age caught up with him.

Think he's also right about FTECB sanctions being 4 or 5 year penalties. The next problem will be retaining any players who do well in a poor team. Had we not been in the first division for such a long time I think there'd have been an exodus of players before those sanctions were handed down.

Sir Ian on Sky talking about Durham : " There's a good vibe up here now."
That's one way of describing it!

I imagine the punters will have had a good day, today. decent match judging by the scorecard, and some lusty blows to win it

Yep, wickets for Wood and plenty of big hitting. I had a feeling the Aussies might get bowled out cheaply batting first but once again I was wrong!

 That must be it!
It's the floodlit Champuonship match starting on Monday and if that's not bad enough it's against Keith Barker Warwickshire.

Ground bathed in sunshine as England start their 2nd inns yet floodlights on,rule being lights have to be switched on at a fixed time regardless. Sir Ian said he's going to find out whose paying for it and if it's Durham he's going to switch them off :clap

It must be another ridiculous rule. And last week in day 3 of the Derbyshire game it looked gloomy after tea and the lights weren't switched on for a while! Good for us as Derby were batting in those conditions but still...

You could be spot on with your correction. Barker broke down when bowling in the last session today and was unable to complete the over. I wish him a speedy, but not too speedy, recovery. Bowlers should never rush back after injury. :hide

I agree. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery in a week or so!

Bad news - the cricinfo report says that Barker was removed from the attack by the umpires after encroaching on the danger area of the pitch after being given two warnings.
So he's not injured and will probably be in a bad mood when he next bowls :scared
