Save Surrey a fortune in payments to people to help them to creatively circumnavigate the salary cap

Latest club tweet is ( I think!) informing us that an overseas T20 signing will be announced tomorrow,

Tweet from Matty Wilson ( Group Sales Manager or some similar title ) about it being a " big signing " suggests to me it's a new signing as opposed to Tahir - he'd certainly qualify as a big signing but the tweets imply it's a surprising name.
If that's right there must be a fair chance of it being a nasty surprise!

Post from rtg website
"Been tonight for a talk by the author about the book and a good Q&A with Rushworth (who says he is very keen on being the new captain). Some interesting talk on what has gone and Rushworth very confident about the new season, also thinks Borthwick and Coughlin will both come back to the club. A good night and a fiver discount off the book".

Surely the players must know by now who is captain elect and Rushy would be undermining the future capt if it was anyone other than him.
As to prodigals returning, I'd welcome back Badger and Keets, the others definitely can all do one.
I've got a digital copy of the book. It's very comprehensive and if the 1st chapter is anything to go on it'll be a riveting read.

Looking forward to reading it, I was annoyed at not being able to make it there tonight. Coughlin returning certainly would not go down well - unless something happened we are not aware of his departure was the most acrimonious with the club believing he was ready to sign a new deal only to jump ship when they had the press release ready to go.

Not sure why anyone would pay good money for Coughlin to lie on the physio's table all season..... then again we pay good money for Wor Nige to stand over it, so we are definitely daft enough

and thank goodness that Coughlin doesn't qualify as an overseas player, because he fits the 72 SR criteria for both his batting and his bowling

it's his 72 SR that would interest us, not his 72 IQ

Could T20 signing be simply Colly returning as coach? Fit the underwhelming category of most of the club's announcements.

Could be, they might want to get a coach in before the 2nd overseas player. The tweets imply to me it will be a player but misleading tweets from the club are nothing new!
