sadly, Rushy thought the question he was responding to was about Durhams pre-season preparations

Kiwis are arguably the most popular of opponents because of the way they play the game. Also a big following of Sri Lanka last time they were here for an ODI. To be fair, No complaints about that package.

I agree. Quite a pleasant surprise to get those fixtures.

it was England/NZ at the riverside where KP unveiled his version of the switch hit

it was very popular and well appreciated at the time

I wonder what happened to him? He just seemed to disappear quietly one day

He was always the shy, retiring type so probably just drifted out of the game.

McCarthy and Poynter are not in the squad for Ireland's first match. Bad news ...but bad news for Ireland or Durham?

So no wickets for the new ball pair and now McCarthy and Weighell are going at 5 an over!

I saw Tim Wellock walking around the ground today but he doesn't appear to be covering the games at all - at least not for the local press.

Preview in The Sunday Times ahead of Ireland's first test match mentions that after next season any Irish players in county cricket will be regarded as overseas players.

well that won't help Ireland much, but at least we'll be able to get rid of Poynter

unless, of course................... we wouldn't..... would we?
