71 run lead on first innings, that's pretty decent in the context of this low scoring game, even more so that Worcs are batting fourth.

I sense this isn't a wicket to prod about on waiting until a delivery comes with your name on it.

Surely with a decent lead we need to have some positive intent. Soames goes shouldering arms!

Weatherley and Soames both out early for sod all.

Come on Vince, a quick fire thirty will do very nicely.

Faffing about after lunch, no run in 19 balls and then Vince gets out.

Typical.

93/6, I'd take a 200 lead at this point.

Decent sixth wicket partnership looks like taking us over a 200 lead.

Somerset struggling to beat Lancs could put a dampener on things.

Yep, unless it's one of those pitches that flatten out as the game progresses.

We have got a very capable quick bowling attack so I'm hopeful at this point.

my advice to your groundsman would be roll it, roll it and roll it some more, every hour of every day between now and the visit of Jack 'I can only take wickets on doctored pitches at Turnton, do you think England will give me a job?' Leach

It's either that, or prepare the fastest, bounciest pitch known to man, and then unleash Fidel, Steyn and Abbott on them.

I'm pleased that it didn't pay off for Somerset, but I'm more annoyed that Lancs avoided defeat. That could be very costly for us.

So, 248 to win. You'd like to think that is too many, but you never know.

Mitchell of course is the key, along with Clarke.
