It's too late now, we're out. But swapping Vince and Rilee in the order would make a lot of sense.

Vince bats like Vince when he bats at 3 or 4. He bats like a pinch hitter when he opens.

This year he's spent time being *modded* about by working with England so it was bound to happen

If he has any chance of playing in the World Cup he'll have to announce he's retiring from white ball cricket and hope he gets runs in the 4 day games.

Vince's best format should be 50 over cricket.

He is a prolific boundary hitter not a six hitter.

In the long form of the game there will always be a slip for him to nick off to. In T20 he has to be unorthodox, which he isn't, and often comes a cropper when he tries to belt the ball or move about at the crease.

50 over cricket suits his attacking orthodox stroke play and when he does get a nick there usually isn't a slip in place to snaffle the chance.

Weird 4.30 start here. McManus dropped, which is absolutely no surprise.

Even for the most optimistic person, this is surely our last chance.

Great first over. Wood has been our best seamer by a million, billion miles this year. (Although not exactly difficult.)

For some reason I think the band at Taunton on Friday starts at 4.30. Seems an odd time to start, especially on a Friday.

Good stuff Fidel...

His (occasional) good balls were edged for 4. His (regular) short, wide rubbish balls were smacked for 4 and 6.

When we're doing well, Fidel is never in our XI. He's too blooming quick and wild for t20!!

(The fact that he can't bat or field makes it even worse. Berg might be expensive, but at least he can whack it. Abbott too.)

Not with our strategy of burning our top order away, and having possibly the longest tail on the circuit.

That's twice now that Dawson has tried to save us after a horror PP, when chasing 200, but both times he's just fallen short. Not his fault though.

Tough to know what to be most critical of today. Give or take one run/ball, both sides were 145-6 half way through the 17th over. But Gregory and RDVM murdered us in the final 3 and half overs, at a rate that was always going to impossible to match. However, over the course of 20 overs, chasing 198 at Taunton is probably only a par chase. In theory, that hitting from Gregory and RDVM should have only lifted Somerset up from a very under par score, rather than taking the game away from us.

When your third highest score is 8, your not going to win many matches.

Mujeeb comes across as a decent enough t20 bowler. And certainly some of the batters haven't been able to pick him. Probably been our second best bowler after Wood. But I think he's better off with IPL style regulations for overseas players, by which I mean one of three or four overseas players.

As one of just two overseas players, we need a whole lot more from him. No match-winning impact from him - possibly because batters are taking care against him, knowing there is runs to be had elsewhere - unlike the likes of Afridi, Tahir and McLaren.

Just one of many issues we've got this season.

Can't complain at those 20 overs.

Although the way we've batted this season, 140 still might be tough.
