But yes, he scored the all important runs at the end there. I'm quite happy with him at 8. That's about the right position.

Quite rare that we have a comfortable win. Wood bowled well, Vince and Jimmy batted well. But of course Rilee was the star again.

Although I would like to see a replay of the run-out appeal on Rilee. I was convinced that Rilee wasn't just out, but a long way out. He seemed to have given up trying to get in. The pick-up, turn and throw from Wagner was so quick, and almost unexpected, that I don't think the umpire was in the right position to judge. If Wagner was going to throw it, throwing it at Rilee's end seemed like the least likely end to throw at, given Wagner was on the floor facing the other end. Rilee was on about 70 at the time.

Forecast looks pretty awful throughout tomorrow. So looks like we could be in for successive washouts. I didn't mind Friday's washout, because our recent record away to Gloucs is very poor. But Kent are one of the weakest sides on the group; a dry day tomorrow and I'd have firmly backed us to pick up the points.

Still, a washout would see us remain unbeaten and no worse than 2nd place, with three games to go (top three to qualify, but with the winner going straight through to the SF).

Forecast has improved so much, that we might get a full game in. Which makes the lack of Amla a blow. Down to just a top two now, basically. Although I do hope that Alsop goes well, and can claim a place in the XI for the rest of the competition.

An edge short of slip (which flew away for 4), a play and miss, an LBW shout, and an inside edge to save an LBW shout, all in Wood's first over.

One more win probably ensures qualification.

Obviously the target is first place, but most of us going into this tournament probably thought top three was unlikely.
