The final competition stats for us:

BATTING

Northeast 133 runs @ 133
Vince 527 runs @ 59
Alsop 248 runs @ 50
Rilee 394 runs @ 44
Berg 163 runs @ 41
Amla 109 runs @ 36
Weatherley 250 runs @ 36
Dawson 101 runs @ 34
Taylor 155 runs @ 31
Adams 142 runs @ 28
McManus 140 runs @ 28

BOWLING

Dawson 7 wickets @ 21
Crane 15 wickets @ 29
Fidel 4 wickets @ 21
Berg 13 wickets @ 37
Topley 7 wickets @ 42
Taylor 6 wickets @ 49
Wood 6 wickets @ 54
Steyn 3 wickets @ 57

Basically, Dawson and Northeast returned from injury just in time!

And whilst we lose Steyn and Crane for the t20s that start this coming week, we gain Mujeeb, Munro and Abbott.

Didn't give us a hope in hell with this team when the tournament started, but our batting really was outstanding. Set some big scores and chased some big scores. Our bowling only had to be average as a result.

I must admit I'd forgotten about the Durham win, thought we'd won every final we'd ever reached. From memory i'm sure Mustard was responsible for that blip.

Can't remember who scored Durham's runs. But I certainly remember Ottis Gibson having us 0-2 after 2 balls in reply!

I haven't got the best memory, but I can hardly remember him, or that he played much for the first team?

Remember his dad though!

Topley out for the season. His fifth stress fracture. This time he's going to have surgery (which he hasn't done before), which I would suggest might be last chance saloon.

Given that he played about 70% of our one-day games, the ECB really shouldn't have got him to play Lions cricket straight afterwards.

Most injury prone player that's ever played for the club, gawd knows why we gave him a contract extension.

He's not exactly earnt it especially when you consider he's been caught driving while on his mobile phone....twice!!
