Ten runs short of third batting point.

18 overs to take 2 or 3 wickets before the close.

Certainly enough in the pitch to nick a few out, Abbott and Edwards at their best could be a handful

Good start, Edwards nicks the first one out.

Even day, I'd say. Which in turn arguably means we leave the happier, because if you choose to bowl first (as Worcs did) then you should really be winning the first day.

Definitely an even day, only Vince and Berg of the 15 players to bat looked “in”

One interesting bit of news that Joe Weatherley said to someone was that Amla was asked to open and declined, so they went with McManus but he has now apparently changed his mind

We dropped Mitchell twice this morning off Abbott before Fidel got him this morning

Bit of an annoying partnership building before lunch.

I'm glad you mentioned the Mitchell drops after he was out!

Southampton have started well against Chelsea.

Second half of this innings is going the way of Southampton's.

Mind you the weather must be making it a lot easier for batting.

Wheal has 2, 207-9. Hopefully get Magoffin quickly and get setting a total, I think day 4 forecast is poor

McManus hit a 6 already, not sure if he got a hittable ball or trying to advance game

Nice if he can make a few runs this innings.

Thought Amla was going to open second innings?
