you got your extra 8 overs, I see.

good to know it was a hat trick.... extra 30 points in the FL and I'd hate to have missed it

It's a tough one. Certainly, on the face of it that would appear to be the case. But realistically, there was only ever going to one way that Whiteley and Parnell were going to bat - so they may well have just done this tomorrow instead, had we waited.

Cricinfo not updating properly but BBC saying Abbott has bowled Whiteley for his sixth wicket.

One to go.

One more win should do it, especially if it's against Lancs. Although that's our last match, so I'd rather not take it to the final day of the season again!

If Lancs fail to win the Roses match next up, I don't think they'll have any choice but to beat us. I can't see how they stay up with two draws, given that those draws would also be handing out points to us and Yorks respectively, and Lancs don't play in the round of matches in between those two games (which, incidentally, is us against Yorkshire).

Trescothick hits Abbott for three fours in his first over.

Then nicks off to Alsop in his second!

Somerset 71/5 at lunch.

Decent session for us after losing the toss

Bowled out for 106.

Abbott and Steyn with 8 wickets between them.

With our batting lineup methinks it will be tough going this afternoon.

0-1 suggests you could well be right!

Yep, 12/2 off 8 overs.

Weatherley and Soames out for not much, tbh probably wasn't expecting much from either.

Vince gone second ball too. Very unusual for our top order not to fire :/

12/3, Vince out.

We'll be lucky to get past Somerset's score at this rate.

Probably get a 16 point deduction from the pitch inspector.

Saying played on by Vince, think he got a pretty decent inswinger by the Twitter feed.

Weatherley's lbw was probably clipping leg stump
