Actually they must have been out in the same over either side of tea.

115/2 and off for bad light. Let's hope that's it for the day!

And it is. At least the last session went fairly well. Only 2 wickets down is better than I thought it'd be after that disastrous double wicket over.

that being said, it could have been much worse.

lets hope Steel and Clark can push on in the morning

Is there likely to be weather floating about tomorrow? It's supposed to rain up here, but i don't know about Derby

Needless to say the forecast tomorrow at Derby is for "light cloud" cover! That sounds ominous.
Apparently Wood bowled well today - generating pace and movement according to ESPN but you're spot on - conceding 400 won't do, and we've done it twice in a row against teams who are not likely to challenge for promotion so what'll it be like against the stronger sides?! Catastrophic probably.

they will be buoyed by the win last week, from a worse position than the one they find themselves in right now. I'm buoyed by the win last week as well. I think as long as we don't get rolled over, and if we can salvage a draw with lots of bonus points, that will do going into the one day stuff...... put the CC back in the box for a bit... try to get a few of our batsmen into a different mindset for a bit. It might just help them to relax a little.

If they can enjoy their cricket for a while, anything is possible, I suppose

I agree. If we can have a good batting day tomorrow it should be enough to save the game and we can go into the one day games in decent spirits. Colly needs a score, loads of batsmen struggling in the early season so I don't think there's cause for concern just yet but if he doesn't get a score soon there will be.
Although he's probably worth his place as a bowler in any case!

ah well.... it's interesting that the 4 frontline bowlers took 100 overs and 300 runs to take 6 wickets, while the part timers took 28 overs and 80 runs for the other 4. I find that quite worrying.

I've just noticed that Rimmers only bowled 13 overs

Surely not another injury?

Wasn't on the field according to Martin Emmerson, so either injured or ill.

I was going to say perhaps he wasn't feeling well on Friday hence the ineffective bowling but he has been ineffective for a few weeks! At least it's not an injury, he might be just taking time to adjust to county cricket.

Clark and Colly both out after a half century partnership. Luckily Richo & Poynter are in now - they'll surely save us. :scared
