Ryan Davies in the squad tomorrow and has signed a contract until the end of the 2019 season!
Josh Coughlin also included but Colly, Potts and Weighell still injured.

There are a couple of Somerset fans on Twitter who seem to have good judgement about the game and they reckon Durham signing Davies is a shrewd move and he had a lot of potential. A deal until the end of next season after a few second X1 games suggests he's made a great impression ...or no one else will sign!

Durham: Clark, Steel, Richardson, Latham (c), Smith, Poynter (wk), Harte, Pringle, Rimmington, Dixon, Rushworth

I don't like the look of that lineup. We've lost the toss and will bat first. Latham should explain why he is not opening ( assuming he isn't again.)

Off to a flyer 13/1 with Richardson in at 3 and Latham down the order again.

Good news is Richardson has 50. The bad news is it's 110/5 :facepalm

147/7! Richo gone for 64 followed straight back to the pavilion by Pringle.

209 all out with Harte making 48 on ( I think ) debut.
We might get a point though because the forecast this afternoon looks dire.

Well...13/3. Wouldn't it be typical if we look like winning for once and then it starts raining- although these early wickets certainly help if DL comes into it. Not sure how many overs constitute a game? Have a feeling it's 20.

Just when it seemed to be going well Harte comes on and goes for 22 in 2 overs- probably enough to get them back on track with DL should it rain or set them up for a cruise to victory if it doesn't.

Off for rain now. 84/4 after 15 so it'll be a no result unless we get at least 5 more overs - that's assuming you do need to have at least 20 to get a result.
They're currently 9 behind on DL according to Emmerson.

I must be wrong about needing 20 overs. According to Martin Emmerson we will win if there's no further play. And I'm sure there won't be any more because the rain is apparently showing no sign of stopping.

Of course - it's minimum of 20 in the knock out stages but 10 in the group stages!
Let's hope it doesn't stop raining.

thanks for that Capt. I was trying to work out if 82 was enough for Worcs on DL and I rather thought it might be. The rain must have looked ominous and Worcs decided to throw the bat which might help to explain Harte's figures.

I think so. Seemed a bit strange to bowl him with rain in the air but maybe the theory was they'd lose a wicket going after him.
At last though some good fortune - there's a fair chance one more over would have put them ahead on DL.
