I was expecting us to be 150odd, but it was a question of how many wickets down we were. I figured 3 probably, maybe 4, so 6 down is disappointing after such a good start

Just got in too. Very poor performance - Martin Enmerson's preview this morning showed it was very overcast and drizzly so I guess the bowlers were getting plenty of assistance. However this lot seem to collapse in every innings regardless of the conditions. And now unless something really dramatic happens they're going to have to pull off a run chase in the 4th innings when they should have put the game to bed in this innings.

Poynter out after a good partnership with Patel and Axar is taking the lead towards 100.

I read that in their previous CC match Glamorgan were bowled out for under 100 in both innings. They almost did it again yesterday so this lead should be a big problem for them.
50 for Patel at virtually a run a ball. Hopefully just good batting and not a sign that conditions are improving.

9 down with Patel on 89. With the way Rushy bats he better try and get those 11 runs very quickly. Lead is 130.

Typical! Rushy out and Patel stranded on 95.
Still, lead is 141 and surely that will be enough.

he must think the same because he's just launched Salter for 6.
95no

McCarthy has had a game to forget thus far.

Good work from Axar. First he polishes off the tail and prevents the usual 100 run partnership for the 9th or 10th wicket, and then he punches out a run a ball big score to get us a very decent lead

Rushy... 4 and out. Bet Axar's pleased with that... stranded on 95

295 ao. shame really because one more 6 would have earned Axar a ton for himself on debut and also an extra batting point for us

I can't think of a single innings this season where there hasn't been a collapse. Ironically the clatter of wickets on the last afternoon against Leics worked in our favour because it would have been a draw without that. But usually it's disastrous - Colly having a shocker obviously a big factor but the rest of the batting isn't strong enough imo- they're either relative newcomers trying to make their way or players with very modest averages. Must strengthen it for next season.

Glamorgan off to a quick start. That wasn't part of the plan!

40/4 and Connar Brown has been on 0 for over half an hour so he'll probably either be out soon or be the one to launch an unlikely recovery.
