Thanks. Maybe the theory here is for him to try and be in when the spinners are on.
Durham's failure to significantly strengthen over the winter is being horribly exposed. Is it too late to get a few Kolpaks in?

Presumably we looked to recruit in the winter and failed;Durham aren't exactly an attractive proposition at the moment. When will the present incumbents concentrate on lines and variation rather than pace which they don't possess in any case, Weighell in particular?
Over the past few games the batting has proved sound and we can add Potts to it who looked assured.
It was the opening overs where we lost it; too much width so they got off to a flyer and could coast the middle overs getting set and then the blitz. Rimmington bowled better later; hopefully he and Rushy can do it at the start.
Keep the faith :thumb

Yes. Can't be easy trying to persuade players to sign - although the Kolpak route might have been an option , perhaps they tried but couldn't get anyone.
Agree about the bowling, don't think there were any appeals or even half chances in that 50 run stand with the erratic wide bowling.
Hopefully they can improve for the next game!

Wonder what the chances are of Keaton Jennings getting another hundred on Sunday? Think he's had 3 in a row.
Best way to stop it being 4 is if we bat first because there won't be enough runs required for him to get 3 figures.
Onions didn't play in Lancashire's opening game so hopefully he will be missing this one!

Bunny will be busting a gut to play and so will play I reckon. Don't know how effective a white ball player he is as it's that long since he played it. Soon find out :scared

I thought exactly the same about Weighell trying to bowl to quick especially that opening spell. It was as if the sky cameras are here i will try and make an impression.

Same squad for tomorrow. Rushworth is playing club cricket today so he must be close to a return.

Inditement of the thinness of our squad that we are unable to provide alternatives after such a thrashing. Inevitably will lead to complacency.

Complacency might already have set in because Lewis suggests " small improvements " will do the trick!

Replacing him would be a small adjustment with a big knock on effect.

Lancashire batting first after winning the toss - Onions not playing thankfully.
We're unchanged from Friday. :facepalm

65/0 in the 8th over with Davies 4 away from a half century and we've already used 4 bowlers.
Apart from that it looks as if we have started well. :horse
