Never looked like getting those runs. Great start from Latham but after the first few overs we got bogged down.
Weighell and Rimmington at the end let Yorkshire off the hook - I thought they were about 15 runs over par.

Yorkies 38-1 off the last 3 overs.
Weighell gets hit round the park at the death.
Repeating the same mistake and expecting a different outcome.

That Weighell over was a shocker - no ball that went for 6 and free hit for 4. I think he was the one who dropped a catch on the boundary in the last over too.
Think that 19th over also took so long it was close to costing 6 extra runs.
Yorkshire gave nothing away at the end so we could not get the free boundaries.
There will be decisive big death overs in T20 but as you say Weighell does it regularly so it's not surprising at all.
Other bad news is Colly seemed a bit incapacitated when batting. Think he may be injured.

Think this game sums up the predicament - we will struggle to make any above par scores and also struggle to keep the opposition to under par ones. Tahir might win us some games in the middle overs - was very unlucky to just get one wicket tonight because apart from the stumping not given there was an over where he looked like getting a wicket with every ball.
The awful death bowling and a lack of big hitters in the lineup is a real recipe for disaster too.

Amazing. Might be bad news for Leics though because he'll probably be at Notts or Lancs next year!

I don't recall Ben ever bowling when he was at Durham and didn't he have a very indifferent season with the bat before he left. Oh how we could do with him now !

I don't remember much about him at all, seemed a bit part player at best! Turned into a world beater now.

I sympathise with the predicament; the variations required in death bowling are very difficult to master-Broad has just said on Sky that he hasn't yet been able to bowl a knuckle ball. What annoys me is the likes of Weighell, who is now experienced, doesn't appear to have learnt by it. Selection continues to appear random -Trevaskis replaces Pringle and isn't asked to bowl.

Yeah. That was an odd change. And Davies who I think is a bit of a hitter comes in way down the order when it's just about too late - should have taken a punt and sent in a slogger as soon as we started to get bogged down.
Think the margin of defeat was bigger than the score card suggests because at no stage did those Yorkshire bowlers look like letting us get 9/10 an over towards the end.
The good news is that most of the Twitter responses from spectators seemed quite positive.
