he may not have agreed with the decision. I presume he hadn't touched it... or at least he thought he hadn't touched it

He may just have been disappointed that he nicked one after grafting so long. Warks players were quite convinced. Attritional days cricket-267 runs in a full day :sleep
Podmore altered his action during the winter and is now a few yards quicker. Pity! - he and Salisbury would have formed a decent opening attack.

I wonder if FTECB will persist with these pink ball games? We have this tedious affair with painfully slow scoring and the farcical game at Canterbury where batting was apparently impossible during the Middlesex first innings of 56 all out.
Despite the two slow days here there's always the likelihood of our iffy batting lineup having a disastrous collapse at some stage - especially if we are more than 2 down before the new ball is due.
Saving the follow on should take enough time to get a draw but if there's any pressure on in the 4th innings I suspect Patel and co will cause chaos!

What a start - Steel out in the first over! This probably will be a dramatic day but for all the wrong reasons.

I went out for about an hour and left my phone on charge.
It seems to have been an hour of disaster with yet another failure for Colly. And he's not the only one. :horse

They are hopeless! And will almost certainly be even worse in the T20s.

Pringle gone now after a decent stand with Harte. 7 down and still need just over 50 to avoid the follow on. I suspect Warwickshire will bat regardless but we'll probably soon find out.
We seem to have a habit of losing wickets either just before or after intervals although the continuous batting collapses mean we have a habit of losing wickets at every stage of the innings. :horse
Think I might pop down for a few hours this evening to see the horror show.

Second X1 started well yesterday against Derbyshire seconds - reduced them to 151/7...then conceded a 7th wicket stand of 185! Final total was 362 and we are 187/5. Coughlin and McCarthy both playing.

A much better idea! :thumb
It's an ideal night weather wise but there's a very poor attendance. I'm hopeless at estimating but it looks about 7 or 800 hundred.
Don't know what it was like earlier or on the first 2 days but the tedious nature of the game doesn't help. Nevermind, it'll liven up when we have another bat. :facepalm

Warwickshire lead by 158 but they're 2 down with Bell just gone for 4. Surely there can't be another miraculous comeback? I doubt it because I'd not back us to chase 200 even in good conditions.
Both wickets to Salisbury - excellent again. Notts will be after him.
