Before today he had 7 wickets from 10 games at an average of nearly 63. 3 for 45 today.

And now he's being tapped up by Notts

I didn't once see that in the list of possible scenario's

Almost unbelievable. The only worry is that it looked as if the ball wasn't doing a great deal towards the end of play today. Steel though - at the forum - said there are indentations on the pitch from day one making it very tough to bat on.
Such a crazy game though with those ridiculous extras conceded by Derbyshire so there might be more twists in the tale or tail!

Things DCCC do to you. Open the curtains and see a cloudless blue sky and think " Oh, sh!t! ".

Yep! There's always the feeling that something unpredictable will happen - sometimes something good but often bad.

50 partnership but a wicket apiece for Rushworth & Salusbury straight after. 86/6

7 down now and still over 150 to win. Let's just hope there are no more miraculous late order partnerships in this match.

Slater out now. Surely that's their last hope gone.

Derby are 9 down and throwing the bat a bit. They still need 110, so it would take something catastrophic to throw this away

Still playing, I think, so we must have taken the extra half hour

extraordinary game, really.

without tempting fate (okay... tempting fate) a win would shunt us up into 4th, I think

Some tap from Palladino but over now!

I wasn't going to mention it for fear of jinxing things but Emmerson said this morning that a win would be the first time we'd won after being out for 100 in the first innings and every other sub 100 total ended in defeat.
To win by almost 100 runs is even more extraordinary.

This stupid no toss rule really hurts us, given that we play where we do

3 home matches and our 3 first innings scores have been 91, 184 and 96. Our second innings scores have been 170, 403 and 367

our only foray into away match territory saw us put 500 on for the first innings
