Given that Birmingham are one of the best sides, that is a great win. Congrats.

First your bowlers restrict Yorks to 157 (it's not your bowlers fault that your batters failed to chase it down - in this day and age, unless the pitch is doing all sorts, only conceding 157 is a great effort). Then your bowlers defend your score today. You know what, there could be something in this strategy of restricting yourself to a maximum of 6 bowlers; using Will Smith as an actual t20 bowler, rather than just someone to get rid of over one. Who'd have ever thought...

2-30 in a game like this...... well done, son

:thumb Should give him a great deal of confidence.
This T20 campaign isn't going as badly as I expected - then again I was expecting a total shambles.

Yes. I never understood the idea of just giving him one over and then taking him off every time.
I was concerned about that 157 on Friday just because Yorkshire were bogged down before the 19th over. Should still have been chased down but if there's a lineup that won't do it it's ours.

It's fun cricket which brings in the money. It's a lottery so I don't take it too seriously. Important that games are close and weather remains fine. Very interested in next Friday's gate -kids for free seems a very sound initiative.

Yeah. It's a very good idea and it'll be interesting to see how big the crowd is.

Stokes available for Friday's T20 and the CC game against Gloucestershire. Wood is available for the CC but not T20.

Great news-I'm off to Cheltenham with the travel club.
Selection problems if everyone is available.

Yep. Good to have tough choices! Enjoy your trip and let's hope for good weather & a good result!
Friday's appearance also very useful for ticket sales.

Seems to have been a server problem on the site yesterday!
Fabulous win at Trent Bridge last night. I thought we might have fallen a bit short with our innings and was sure we had done after the first few overs! Colly, Tahir and Weighell must have bowled superbly in the middle of the innings.

I was desperate to talk about it and couldn't get on

2 good wins against two strong looking sides

those were matches that we'd normally lose

A pity Colly has to miss out , made some very useful contributions lately. I wonder if Stokes will open again or come in at 3? Openers have done very well recently so there's a good case for not changing the partnership ( and if one of them goes early Stokes will have the chance to bat most of the innings.) However I think I would open with him because he has the potential to cause carnage in the power play.

you make it sound as though we have some input into what Stokesy does

Stokesy does whatever England tell him to do, and not to worry.... they'll send us a courtesy text later.... if they can be bothered

I think the squad is named in batting order with Richardson/Trevaskis, McCarthy and Whitehead being omitted.
