Did Lewis say we were going to sign a replacement for Tahir or was it another vague statement? I can't remember.

Colly and Rimmington missing tomorrow. Latham capt. Steel, Richardson and Harte return. And Stokes and Wood.

That might suggest Colly's injury could be more than a niggle. At the forum Lewis said that Steel captained against Derbyshire because it was a one off and if Colly was going to be out for a while he might have gone for a more experienced player as skipper.

On second thoughts Latham won't be here too much longer so if there is a concern over Colly and they wanted an experienced stand in why not go for Smith?

One wicket in the first 80 minutes wasn't in the script!

Although Bracey 'retired injured' so must have been clonked by Stokes or Wood.

3 down now but they appear to be making hard work of this. 2 international bowlers up against a very ordinary batting lineup and you'd expect at least 4 or 5 before lunch and all out well before tea.

A look around the grounds suggests that Gloucs are the only team who have remembered that they are playing CC cricket

Yep. Clatter of wickets in the other games. Must be a very flat pitch at Cheltenham - although that might change when we bat on it!

Definitely making absurdly hard work of it now. 200 up and still only 3 wickets.
Just as well I don't bet because I'd have backed us to bowl them out for under 150!

According to Martin Emmerson both Stokes and Wood were off the field for spells this afternoon. That explains the score - our first innings bowling usually has been poor this season.

Shock news : Ryan Higgins has surpassed his previous best FC. Another Personal Best to add to the list.

And now he has his maiden FC century. Even taking into account Wood only bowling 6 overs this appears to have been a hopeless display - although we'll have to wait and see how we fare in the first innings before delivering the verdict!
