I'm surprised by that - they're starting a 4 day game at Hove on Sunday.

On an unrelated note I wonder what the record is for the fastest T20 century in the Blast?!

on another equally unrelated note..... I wonder if Tahir would be available in the unlikely event of us not scoring 81 in the QF and so making it through to finals day

The CPL final is on September 16th and the Blast Finals Day is the day before so in theory he could play providing his CPL team don't make the final.

we are bound to get the Thursday QF, you know
FTECB won't want us benefiting from it any more than we have to

Looking at the CPL schedule Tahir's team would have to be knocked out before the semifinal because that's on September 14th.

Quite likely! And the floodlights ( installed by order of FTECB ) could be the reason as any grounds hosting QF's who don't have flood lights will surely get the weekend afternoon games.

Yep, would have been great. It's a pity the August bank holiday has already been...oh hang on.

A great decision. They seem to be getting better at promoting the games.

oh blimey....
I've had a look at the tables and the fixtures.... Kent play Essex and they'll win, Gloucs play Hants and they'll also win, Sussex play the Middle and they'll win too
which means if we win tomorrow we get to look forward to being utterly annihilated by Jofra Archer and Rashid Khan next Thursday (because it will be the Thursday fixture, you know... bet you anything you like)
If we lose tomorrow and Worcs win, we'll end up with either Kent or Gloucs, depending on who beats their opposition the most comprehensively
on balance I think we have to hope we get Klinger, Howell et al
Kent has 81 ao written all over it, being bamboozled by Denly's leggies and Imram Qayyum's left arm offies, trying to chase 220 thanks to Joe Denly's 100 and Sean Dickson's late fireworks
