all very well saying that the 78 was not our finest hour, or we got it out of the way.... it made such a dent in our NRR that it might very well have cost us top spot and earned us a harder QF against a bogey team
ah well..... just have play really well on Thursday and earn a finals day place by being brilliant

Almost certainly.
A few minutes after the abandonment the rain seems to have stopped in Pelton and the sun is shining!

Gloucs scraped 144
against Hants that might be enough
you knows how this will all pan out?

Hants are going to win which is likely to be most helpful to Worcs
Bears ain't going to do it, unless CDG does something remarkable
Kent are on track
MIddlesex are relying on Capt Morgan to nick something off Sussex... which seems a bit desperate.... and who promptly runs himself out, anyway
Worcs will get Gloucs
we will get Sussex on Thurs, I reckon

Kent are suddenly wobbling
must be the thought of missing out on a tie against us

Kent are home with one ball to spare
Sussex are so far ahead they are having a cuppa between deliveries

worth noting, of course, that our QF opponents have finished 3rd, 1 point less than us, despite having 4 games washed out

I'm now trying to imagine how I'll feel if Afghanistan release Rashid Khan for the QF
that would give them 2 snarling quicks, 2 crafty spinners and a leftie.... all the things we have no answer to
oh....... deep joy!

They might do that because Afghanistan are playing in Ireland.
Friday night would be the most logical choice because we're travelling back from Cardiff and Sussex are playing their CC game at home.
If
we lose inside 3 days the game finishes early at Glamorgan it'd help.

Afghanistan have games on the 22nd and 24th. Can't see him being released given they pulled him from tonight's game which is 4 days before their tournament starts. Hopefully we'll have Wood and Stokes available.
