hour on the plane, half an hour in the car.... bowl your 4 overs... take your 3 wickets for nowt... don't wait to bat because there'll only be 82 to knock off... half an hour in the car... hour on the plane... back in time for supper.... "where you been Rashid? haven't seen you for a couple of hours"... "fancied a nap boss..... just don't look at any Blast scorecards"

Looking at the fixtures they're playing T20 games ( 5pm starts) on Wednesday and Friday so we might be ok.
Poynter and McCarthy aren't in the Ireland squads.

On another unrelated note I wonder what the biggest margin of defeat is in a T20 QF.

Far too much negativity on here. Compare this seasons T 20 stats between the 2 teams and you'll find they're almost identical. Add the fact that Sussex are missing there most effective bowler and Durham will most likely be strengthened by the inclusion an England bowler and an England all-rounder. And Durham have home advantage.

You're right. I assumed this T20 campaign would be a disaster and it has gone in the other direction. A home QF can't be a fluke so there's no reason at all why we shouldn't be able to keep going.

I don't believe in being positive when it really matters..... I equate confidence, deserved or otherwise, with arrogance.... something I'll have to be punished for

I can be confident about England, because if they then fall flat on their face it doesn't really matter to me. This does.

Better to harp on about a scenario I don't want (like a Thurs QF) to avoid the jinx, and then be happy later
