28 overs to go so we'll be about 80/0 by the close?!

According to Martin Emmerson conditions are gloomy but they can't use the lights! I don't like the sound of that.

If it wasn't for our worries about our top order batting, we'd probably see 154 as a good 2 sessions work

but of course, I have absolutely no idea how we'll go. Lees is a new arrival, Harte is an unknown quantity at 3, Steel and particularly Richardson have had very little first team match time of late, and Colly has struggled against the red ball this season. 5 of the top 6.

just realised.... where's Latham?

Latham replaced by Azar Patel. He's still here though so not sure why we couldn't have played him - a batsman of his class would likely have been more useful than a spin bowling all rounder.

Wonder if he'd be available for finals day if we make it?

Ah yes! I'd forgotten about that.

Good start from Lees. 50 partnership.

Lees with a run a ball half century on a pitch where everyone else has struggled badly. Excellent start for him.

75/0 at the close. That must be the best opening stand in a few years games.
I still don't know why they can't use the floodlights.

I said I didn't know what to expect, but I certainly wasn't expecting that

I wasn't expecting it either, thought it'd be the customary 3 or 4 quick wickets!
There's still the potential for a collapse - questions over that middle order especially if Colly's red ball struggles continue. Let's hope these two can get going again in the morning.

just got in for lunch

I was expecting us to be 150odd, but it was a question of how many wickets down we were. I figured 3 probably, maybe 4, so 6 down is disappointing after such a good start
