Yep. Bowling and batting both hopeless. Not sure Colly bowling 10 overs and fielding for 50 should open the batting. Isn't Latham a specialist opener? Richardson isn't a number 3 in one day cricket if the target is 300 plus.

I wonder who had the idea to open with Colly?

Has a JJB feel to it..... and then blame the new captain later

Latham gone and soon we'll be hoping to survive 20 overs

4 an over seems realistic for us, so needing 7 an over for 50 overs seems like a bit of a stretch

as far as the cameras are concerned, it always feels as though we are telling Sky not to waste their time coming to our matches.... and doubtless they will be happy to oblige... think the absolute minimum is 2 matches across the whole season... might be 3. Sky will be hoping it isn't 3

Probably Lewis. Colly is s middle order batsman who usually bowls his full overs in one day cricket and Latham is a specialist opener...so we have Colly at the top and Latham at 4.

we'll be relying on Poynter to save our sorry backsides later.... that's how good things are

Rashid on and Smith tries the scoop shot then the sweep and then gets run out by Richardson!

I'd forgotten about that! Did he used to open then moved down?
I think here he should open, there aren't any better choices.
As expected it's gone from bad to worse here since Rashid came on - 113/7!!

He moved to middle order when they toured India because he has a good repuation against spin and has stayed there ever since...NZ open with Guptill and Munro

Thanks. Maybe the theory here is for him to try and be in when the spinners are on.
Durham's failure to significantly strengthen over the winter is being horribly exposed. Is it too late to get a few Kolpaks in?

Back home. That went well :facepalm At least if wasn't boring with the hapless batting and just topped off by that conical run out!
Yorkshire missing so many top players but still able to field a side with some top quality batsmen and bowlers plus a solid core of proven county performers.

Presumably we looked to recruit in the winter and failed;Durham aren't exactly an attractive proposition at the moment. When will the present incumbents concentrate on lines and variation rather than pace which they don't possess in any case, Weighell in particular?
Over the past few games the batting has proved sound and we can add Potts to it who looked assured.
It was the opening overs where we lost it; too much width so they got off to a flyer and could coast the middle overs getting set and then the blitz. Rimmington bowled better later; hopefully he and Rushy can do it at the start.
Keep the faith :thumb
