Stoneman not playing for Surrey, absent due to family reasons.

Yorks win the toss and bat. No spinner in the XI. Hants have Dale Steyn bowling. And where did Ollie Rayner come from? Plus Edwards and Abbott. Query best attack in CC!?

Short term loan for Rayner.

Lees out for zero. Ten runs in five innings this season. Making Haseeb look like the Don.

He seems to be cursed. Both of them actually. The sort of form that makes me wonder if one will end up at Durham!

Nice part of the world up there!

Pujara goes to Dale Steyn. Time to do some housework.

Leesy to Durham would be a career improving move, on the basis he will be working with better coaches.

Who knows, if the Durham coaching staff can get Leesy to his 2013-15 best they will have a right gem of a player.

The Durham coaches have come in for some criticism of late - obviously the departures and injuries are a big factor but I'm not sure there are many up and coming players ready to step in so some shrewd signings will be needed.

It would appear that both require a change of environment to bring the desired regain of form but whether the juicy Riverside pitches are the best venue, especially when inevitable you're asked to bat first.

Dawson with the Lions. Crane and Taylor injured. So we were without a spinner, hence Rayner coming in for these two back-to-back matches.

Abbott is badly off form this season - as his figures today illustrate. And badly is putting it mildly. So whilst it might look good on paper, it isn't quite at that level. Abbott's form really is perplexing.

Interesting day in Canterbury, with Kent's seamers fighting back. Unusually, not led by Henry this time, but Harry Podmore.

Fair to say that Lancs will have better ends to the day.

Hameed is even more of a walking wicket this season than Stoneman. I think he might be averaging single figures.
