It's not the groundsman or pitch fault....we had heavy rain in chelmsford, Monday and Wednesday, relentless rain, and also pitch hasn't done lots, it's not a minefield, been some dodgy shots too...

Never doubt that for a moment. I'm foaming with Ballance for opting to bat when he had the choice to bowl first. Sun shining on damp pitches makes for lethal seam bowling conditions.

Two wickets for Benco swings the game to Yorks. Lawrence remains though. Still game on; Harmer and Lawrence were the top scorers in Essex's first innings. Would be a most unexpected win this for Yorks, especially after the first innings.
