Hameed is even more of a walking wicket this season than Stoneman. I think he might be averaging single figures.

His average is - or was before today's game , don't know how often the BBC update their stats - 5.5 with 44 runs from 8 innings with a top score of 19. Only Jimmy Anderson has a worse Championship average for Lancashire- and if it was 5.5 before today's duck he's probably replaced Jimmy at the bottom.

Not a bad recovery for Yorks from 21-3. With Tim and the captain still with power to add.

Seems like twilight didn't deliver a killer blow this time.

Bizarre goings on at Swansea yesterday. The Times reporting that Derbyshire's bowlers requested Sawdust for the bowlers run ups but were told the council had banned it's use on their facilities because it is a cancer risk!

Knowing Swansea council, that is likely one of their less ridiculous policies.

If the Northants lineup managed 284, how on earth did Gloucs get bowled out for 62?

Decent spell for Surrey's Ryan Patel against Somerset. 2 overs 4 runs and 5 wickets!

:lmao
On the Somerset Twitter feed a lot of the wickets were described as " adjudged" lbw or caught. That suggests some poor decisions!

But then have fought back valiantly... still gonna get tonked but less embarrassingly.

Another 100 runs and it might be a nervy chase. Highly unlikely they'll get that lead or it will be enough but strange things can happen!
