Victim of a need for all format players, maybe? Only explanation to me, they signed Kohler-Cadmore to come in, and hes barely county standard as a stand alone bat, but can smash the ball out the park in T20s.

The most bizarre Yorkshire move was letting Lees go. What happened there? I think I read when Durham signed him, he'd played 8 or 9 consecutive second XI games with a 50..... and still they picked an opener in Brooks who's getting annihilated at this level.

Lees had failed in CC1 for a long time. He had every chance.

Yes but why? He's a proven CC player. There's clear disenchantment in the ranks and today's capitulation smells of mutiny.

Good start for N'hants.

Looking a bit ominous now after the good start was followed by a collapse. 86 more needed but only 3 wickets left.
Looks as if Surrey will continue their march to the title - Lancashire only need 61 more but are 8 down.
Could be a good finish at Taunton, Essex looked to be cruising but 5 wickets for Leach has given Somerset a chance - Essex need 63 more but are 6 wickets down.
Derbyshire hearing for defeat against Sussex - 284 more runs needed but they're effectively 7 down -Slater retired injured with concussion and won't bat again.

Yeah, somethings not right. Lots of players seemingly jumping ship to pastures new.

Partnership of 34* between Bailey and Onions. Lancashire need another 28 runs and Surrey need 2 wickets. The 24 extras could be crucial.

8-85 for Leach. Maybe given someone a nudge.

fell short

turns out you were right to be worried. Enforcing the follow on seems to have had the reverse effect on your team, They ended up playing on a day 4 pitch with a much bigger target than they could have foreseen/hoped for when they put Middlesex back in. Easy to say with hindsight, but probably would have been better to add some more to the first innings lead and let them cope with the pressure on day 4. If they do cope with it... fair enough

Dissapointing defat for us, losing by 45 to Somerset.... Bowled out for 290, Wesltey and Browne scored runs, and Tendo, but no one else got going.... Leach incredible figures of 48 overs 16 maidens, 8-85!

But will they get a herd of cows to stampede over the pitch before the next test?

and if they do, will he do better than Ashwin?

and would they humiliate themselves by dropping Rashid?

if the answer to any one of those questions is yes.....then he has a chance

but I wouldn't put my house on it

Yep. A familiar scenario.
Has Paul Coughlin been seen recently at Trent Bridge? He played as a batsman only in a few T20 games but seems to have vanished again? Either dropped or he's aggravated the injury again ...or picked up a new one!
