I suspect jumping straight into red ball cricket, just two days after weeks of t20 cricket has ended, has something to do with that.
(Us and Essex are particularly impacted, because neither of us played in that one round of red ball matches a few weeks ago. Not only have our guys not faced a red ball in a match for weeks, but someone like Jimmy Adams hasn't faced any colour ball for weeks in the first team.)
