At what stage do the ECB bin their own qualification policy just to pick archer?

I can imagine the qualification task force looking into this being led by Zola Budd

I think it's where future test players......
learn how best to eventually get away with only bowling 78 overs in a day
are given a safe environment to hone their future batting skills against spin
find out to how to reduce their bowling speeds to 82 mph in order to best increase their chances of developing stress fractures
are taught effective techniques for running on and off the field carrying drinks and vital pieces of equipment to aging South African kolpaks earning £150k a year
learn the commercial value of using essential net time to develop their own unique version of the ramp, the scoop and the 'dance down the pitch and flog' over cow corner.... or where cow corner would be when the boundary ropes have been brought 30 yards closer
learn the correct way to sneak out of hotels in defiance of management wishes and the appropriate levels for bribes required to get back into nightclubs at 2am

Surely there has to be a six amongst that score. I nearly fainted when Hameed hit Josh Poysden for six at Cow Corner in the recent Roses Champo match.
