A couple of quick wickets for Benco at Headingley, much needed after Taylor and Wessels added 60.

Raining in Taunton! How unlucky is that in a relentless national heatwave so intense it will be remembered for decades to come.

And a pair of wickets for Tim also. Should be a good lead for Yorks now.
Ball and Fletcher can hold a bat though.
This has apparently provoked Harold Bird to predict Yorks are going to win the title...

Outscores Pujara considerable. Ishant's 66 is his highest fc score and his first fifty, unsurprisingly.

Here's some creative journalism. One of the local papers has a picture of an empty stand (at Durham )to seemingly highlight a lack of interest in county cricket ...but it's a photo of a stand which is closed to the public and there were 1400 people in the rest of the ground.

Haseeb-watch, bowled Porter for 1.
Raining morning in Leeds.
Feels like it must be raining all over the world.

Video of Hameed's dismissal:
https://twitter.com/SkyCricket/status/9 ... 7816768512I was watching the live stream last week too - trying to analyse to batting with all the experience of someone who has a top score of 16 playing Saturday cricket.
Someone I noticed last week, and again with this dismissal, is that his bat is kind of cutting across himself. Either like he's playing to mid-on, or he's just being rushed into a shot. But I may be talking utter nonsense.
A shame, I hoped that after a century on their pre-season tour that he would be coming into the new season with new confidence.

Lancs fail to meet the wire! Bottom of the division with Jennings averaging 16 and Hameed 7.75 after 4 innings.

Good start to the season for Benco and looks like Yorkshire seamers will deliver a win at Headingley. Still big problems with the Yorks top order though.
