I bet there'll be a clatter of wickets now!
Already done much better than I expected after a terrible start though.

The problem might be trying to accelerate for the last few overs - Patel with 3 overs to go and a wicket just now.

I suspect wickets are getting increasingly worn now we are in the latter stages of the One Day Cup. Pace off an older ball in Powerplay 3 makes it more difficult for a traditional business end acceleration.

Going back to how the fixtures are played in this tournament - while I agree with the Footman's view that matches in blocks are prone to being victim of the British weather, it is also a good emulator for next years World Cup. Though with the 2nd/3rd place playoff I would play those matches 3 days after the final round of group stage match, play a round of County Championship cricket and then play the Semi-Finals to negate any momentum gained by the 2nd/3rd placed winners.

Odd innings at Northampton. Derbyshire score 265 in their 50 overs but only 2 wickets down. Slow pitch I wonder?

Good win for Notts, defending 202 comfortably against mighty Worcs.

Good to see that there's lots to play going into the week. Only us and Kent have qualified, and no-one has secured the two automatic SF spots.

1st vs 4th and 3rd vs 2nd in the South group, which most likely should sort out the order of the top three. I imagine the game Sky pick for Wednesday will be one of those two. In theory, any of Gloucs, Surrey and Middlesex could still muscle their way into 3rd, should Essex and Somerset both slip up.

2nd vs 1st and 3rd vs 4th in the North group. Thursday's live match will then almost certainly be Warks v Worcs, which is itself effectively a QF - in that the winner takes the automatic North group SF spot. The loser will be in great danger of also missing out on a home play-off, given the fact that the next two then play each other. Indeed, the loser of Warks v Worcs could miss out altogether, if Yorks were to win the Roses match on Tuesday, and then follow it up with victory over Northants. That would almost certainly be enough for Yorks to jump straight up to 2nd and secure a home QF, thus downgrading Notts v Derby from a qualification shoot-out with a home play-off as the prize (if Yorks lose the Roses match), to a qualification shoot-out with an away play-off as the prize.

Ferguson has come over, mid comp and done as well, if not better, than anyone had a right to expect. Smart buy!

Mullaney has to be player of the day. Amazing performance with the bat and a couple of wickets too.

Mullaney or Matt Dixon contenders for Notts man of the match.
Brilliant performance by Mullaney but Dixon recording the worst one day bowling figures for Durham in ideal bowling conditions is a special achievement!

A number of England players have been released to play in the final round of One Day Cup matches. Buttler and Bairstow rested, Woakes picking up an injury. Broad's availability to be confirmed.

No Joe Root then.

Yorkshire's squad looks unchanged for the game with Lancs tomorrow.

Joe Root is available for Thursday, how very nice of the ECB.

Spin sensation Karl Carver is added to Yorkshire's squad for the must win game against Lancashire.
