31/3 at the close so we should be on course to win but things are rarely that straightforward for us.

assuming that we do take the 7 wickets tomorrow, and further assuming that 164 is too many for Derby when 5 down, we should (I think) end up in 4th place 1 point behind Northants, by virtue of them picking up 3 batting bonus points.

Heady stuff

If anyone had said that to me after the first 4 matches of the season, I'd have laughed my head off

well actually I did.... when Sir Beefy suggested we'd finish in the top two.... took me ages to stop

Yep. There's always a distinct possibility of it all going wrong but surely they can get those wickets tomorrow.
Just back from the forum- Bangers and Franklin were there but there's nothing to report! Other than Franklin waffling on about contingency plans if Bancroft makes the Ashes squad - akthough he didn't say what they are.
Best bit was a question about what they did differently after the first 4 games. Franklin gave a lengthy explabstion and then Bancroft said the change they made was to win some games!

BBC report suggests we'll go 3rd if we win and Derby lose, but I suspect they haven't done their homework..... either that or I'm missing something

seemingly Mitchell has been lifted 4 times this season by Rushy for scores of 0,9,0 and 1

most unusual for a members meeting to be so uninformative... thanks for that, Capt

The only semi-interesting thing from that forum was Bancroft saying he's never met Ben Stokes but hopes to see him soon!

I'll be interested in the reaction when Eckerslike and Lees get called up by England.

Yes, N'Hants will go 3rd if they win but the important thing is the complete change in confidence that a few wins brings and if the current form continues I've no doubt it will lead to promotion. I thought Burnham oozed class today;the only current weakness is Clark and it was simply unfair to select him on current form. Equally unfair asking Jones to open the innings especially at the Riverside. That's not based on any particular cricket knowledge, just simple arithmetic of openers scores there. The lad deserves a decent run at 5.

Yep. Things are looking up. Such a joy to see how they have recovered from the disastrous start when I seriously thought we'd struggle to draw any game let alone win one.

Hold on a minute. Worcs have put on 73 for the sixth wicket.

Yep. Annoying! No more than that yet but must get at least one wicket early in the afternoon. What could possibly go wrong? :facepalm
