Marty tweeted that Woody has "action envy" when he watches Jofra in action.
It was compelling viewing which kept me on my sofa rather than the Riverside. Any theories, capt, from the itk's as to why the 1st day pitch has changed from a 150 a.o. to a 350+ and counting.

Woody said that Archer makes it look effortless whereas he had to tear his side and bust a knee to match his pace!
Can't understand why the pitch seemed so much better today - sun was out but we've had so much rain so it should have been the usual bowler friendly pitch but for some reason it wasn't.
Only note of caution is Leicestershire scored 440 batting firat here last year and lost after we followed on! Can't imagine this game will pan out that way again but we have a habit of playing games full of unlikely twists.

When did you sign Robson? Did you completely raid Leicester?

Maybe it's been so long that Durham have forgotten about the declaration rule?

;)

Just this week I think. Short term until the end of the season.
The other Leicester signings have worked out well so maybe he will!

Might want 500! Raine out just now but no declaration.

Raining quite heavily but think it's just a cloud burst-famous last words- lots of blue sky. Going off though.

Rain has stopped but sensibly lunch was taken when they went off. I wonder if they'll bat on? May as well - Carse will either score quickly or get out.

Looks like we'll be underway again soon. Annoying in there are a few black clouds and the showers are brief but very heavy.
No declaration.

Comical moment just now. Some moaning from the lounge balcony about not declaring. Ironic cheers as it looked as if they had done...but it was just a step towards the pavilion to change gloves!

Early indication ( 7 overs ) is that taking 20 wickets here won't be a formality. Suppose with such a big total on the board we shouldn't have to worry about saving runs at any stage.
Carse's pace causing a few problems but not many!

100 run partnership and the only real scare was a run out chance. So far in this game wickets have come as a surprise and no sign of it changing! Carse back on now.
