Was 668 at the Sussex game or the 1 day game on Wed ? I was there on Wed too but didn't see her even though I walked around the ground .
.

Martin Emmerson took a photo at the Sussex game of a person in a sleeping bag...... I thought it might be Corkers. Couldn't do any of the Sussex match. I was at the Northants match.
I'll be at the Riverside match v Derby and the South North v Lancs. I'll also be in Birmingham on Friday and Grantham the week after. I didn't see any one day action last year so I thought I would go to some this season as a lot of the match days are on days I'm not working [Changed my rota a bit so I have more Fridays to play with!] This season at least it appears we have a team worth watching!
It's been a while.....
One day I'll post something new - when my computer lets me!!!!!! Or even update the site it's rather out of date now isn't it. http://planetdurham.wordpress.com/ ...yer actual Lion hunting bloke of the wide open African plains sees bowling as a natural progression from spear throwing. Yesssss!

The usual 2 early wickets after Worcestershire won the toss and bowled, but no rescue act from Bancroft this time - out for 20. 78/3. A good chance for the rest of the lineup to prove themselves! :scared Just noticed Richardson isn't playing - absent for family reasons with Harte drafted in.
According to the Daily Mail Wood is travelling with the squad and may well play on Friday.

Off for a second rain delay, first one was only 10 mins or so. 114/4 at just past the halfway stage - unless conditions are really bowler friendly we'll surely need a much better second part of the innings.
At least Lees has made a score, 52 no.

Must be very grim at New Road because Martin Emmerson reckons our innings will be over and DL will come into play...and that's if it ever stops raining!
These DL chases sometimes have surprising targets but I'd imagine 114/4 would translate into something fairly straightforward.
So perhaps it's better if the rain doesn't stop!

4 an over, so the dreaded DL will probably end our innings here and ask Worcs to score 80 off 20 overs with all 10 wickets intact.

Same idea as me, Capt.... best if it keeps raining. This is one where I'd take a point every day of the day of the week in these conditions

The rain, of course, will stop.

The target will, of course, be derisory

Worcs will have to hope that rain holds off long enough for them to score the runs set, because I think there has to be 20 overs for a DL par score (the one that changes at the end of each over) to kick in. DL never works in our favour..... ever.... something I've learned over the years

If Worcs had scored 114, DL would ask us to chase 200 in 25 overs

Emmerson says the satellite suggests rain until around 3.30. Then he says 30/40 minutes for mopping up. I think the cut-off time for these games is around 6.35 or something...so if his timeframe is right it should leave just enough time to get the overs in. :facepalm

Re-start at 5pm and it does look a fairly easy task for Worcestershire - 156 in 25 overs.

Although if it proves to be an easy target it is partly self-inflicted. They'd had one delay with the forecast presumably suggesting more to come and , according to Emmerson, Harte was out ( stumped!) as the skies darkened. Unless that was a fluke dismissal it doesn't seem too clever. 3 wickets down would have made the target more challenging.

None too clever. A rush of blood, charging down the wicket, according to Worcester commentator.

Oh dear! Sounds out of character too because he usually seems calm and composed. We've taken early wickets so far so maybe nipping out 2 or 3 up top will make life tough for Worcs.
