Yep. 100 up! And 50 partnership.
And they've lost the ball under the trapdoor stand.

Well 122-6 is an awful lot better than 47-6 and these two in partnership suggest it's woeful batting rather than gremlins in the pitch that brought about the early collapse. I'm afraid Clark and Pringle have just supped their last drink in the last chance saloon. Lees, Eckersley and Raine have shown that there are good players available amongst released and out of contract players. Hopefully we can find 2 middle order batsmen amongst this year's batch and get them in on loan before the CC resumes in late August.

Totally agree. Burnham has struggled of late but worth persevering with for me and Harte looks like he might be of the required standard. Pringle & Clark will have to go.
Still no sign of Cameron Steel. Unless he's totally lost the plot or has an injury he surely must be a better option than either of those two. So is Richardson.

The @durhamCricket skipper Cameron Bancroft has been called into a 25-man Australian squad to play in an Australia v Australia A match. It's at The Rose Bowl in 10 days time to decide their Ashes squad.

Yep. Good morning apart from Carse having a brain fade last ball before the session. The new Lara in next though.

well... at the risk of sounding overly optimistic, we seem to have done okay despite the shocking start to the match. It's usually us who concede the match defining 7th wicket stand, but not this time.... and I think it's now the second time that we have scored the big late middle order knock.

I almost hesitate to ask, but have we put ourselves in a decent position going into day 3?

If we have a good first session I'll be confident! Always a feeling though that there's going to be a clatter of wickets - just a question of what the lead is when that collapse happens!

Good news - the lead is approaching 200!
Now can Burnham, Clark and Pringle make a contribution?!

Well Clark can't! But 3 of the 4 wickets were bowled. Might not need too many more runs if there's some uneven bounce.

Burnham out for a very impressive 76. A shame he didn't get a century but very well played.
