I wonder how many times we dropped him before lunch?

I didn't get there until after lunch but apparently at least once.

hey ho... at least we've picked up a couple of bowling points to go with the couple of batting points. After today the heavens open and the floodings begin, so other than the bonus points everything else is academic

It was yet another occasion where the bowlers seemed about to take control only for the partnership to quickly get into stride. I thought it was odd coming off for light because it didn't seem any darker than at any other time.
The forecast for day 4 is one that might change in a similar way to today- around 50% chance of rain throughout the day.
Looks no chance at all tomorrow.

Just noticed they're back on. Extras seem to have shot up to 27! I'm sure they were only about 12 when I left but perhaps I wasn't paying attention.

Very heavy rain so although the current status is start delayed it'll surely be called off soon. The forecast for tomorrow has changed - it's even worse than today!

Abandoned for the day and if the forecast for tomorrow is remotely accurate there's no chance of any play.

Yep. I expect this to be called off by 10.30 this morning. Not a chance of getting on the pitch apart from the umpires having a quick look to confirm the inevitable.

Earlier than I thought. Already declared a draw.

So two games in a row without defeat. Promotion charge is on!

Have you been on the stuff Burnham was on,capt.?
Nevertheless, Lees,Eckersley, Raine and Carse have all recently shown their true batting potential which is encouraging. Time for Bancroft to now step up and if C.Steel could regain confidence we'd have a decent batting line up.

2nd XI game also washed out.

Yep. Plenty of good signs and Steel must be the most likely to succeed as opener ( or 3 if Bancroft moves up.)

I'm sure the batting coach will use the time wisely and sort out any minor flaws. :scared

Surprised to see how badly he's doing in the CC. No better than average for this set of batters. No hundreds.
