Worcs digging in
Northants have beaten Derby and the Middle have won too, so it's up to us now.
Northants on 116, Middle on 114 and we can slot in between on 115. Things hotting up for that 3rd promotion place
Not sure we'd be anything but whipping boys in Div 1, tbh

I agree. Was thinking the same.
Rimmington has the breakthrough.152/6.

Excellent catch by Pringle to get rid of Cox. Surely that should open the door to victory but D'Oliveria and Leach are exactly the types to cause problems!

Carse is charging in and has got rid of Leach. Super catch by Eckersley.184/8.

9 down and there's a slightly ominous big black cloud closing in and the lights are on!

Rushworth finally gets the last wicket just as I was wondering if a disaster was possible!

But it's lights out for Worcs with a match 10fer for Rushy.

I forgot to mention that Martin Emmerson said Daryl Mitchell must be sick of the sight of Rushworth and Bancroft said something along the lines of - that's pretty much what he said when he was walking off!

well done boys.... what a turnaround in the season. Only the runaway Lanky's have more wins than us in div 2.... and only runaway leaders Essex and Somerset have more wins than us in div 1
Amazing, really, after the dreadful start to the season
here's to a good T20 campaign

Bancroft will be off now to play in the Ashes practice match?
I'm just checking because there's been no mention, or even hint, from the club about who will stand in as captain. It'll also be interesting to see who keeps wicket on Friday.
Although if the weather forecast turns out to be correct no one will be keeping wicket!

Poynter had the gig last year and picked up a lot of dismissals iirc
Lees might captain on Friday

will Richo be back?
I have a feeling he was discussed recently, but I can't remember in what context

He's got such a good 50 over record so in theory should be useful!

He was on compassionate leave a month or so ago because of health concerns with his new baby but thankfully infant has come through that. He was then representing Germany in Jersey in a WC qualifier. Down in the nets most days during the Worcs game.
