Sussex suffered 4 washouts on route to finals day, via a thumping of us in the QFs last year.

Like the capt, I'm pretty sanguine about T20 QF's. As long as we have a good home campaign, and the crowds roll in to watch it I'm usually quite happy. Good to get a home QF of course, because that drags more people in (people who may be inspired to buy a season ticket next year), but I'm not convinced finishing top 2 is a realistic goal for this season.

I agree. Pretty congested table but I can't imagine we'll finish in the top 2. I wonder if there's any chance of the rest of the batsmen contributing because we seem to be batting with 3 men - Steel and the two Aussies.

Yeh undoubtedly the focus of the season is those final CC games and T20 finals day but would be a distraction.Clark and Raine are proven T20 batsmen, just haven't come off so far this season. Not going to, of course, if they're not in the team.

Yep. Clark was excellent last year and Raine has a century. Supoose T20 is even more hit and miss than the other formats when it comes to batting and I guess that just shows how well the openers have done.

Whenever I've seen Ben Raine play T20 he's just looked poor, both with bat and ball, even though I know he's meant to be better than that. It was the right decision to pull him out of the side and get him playing red ball stuff with the seconds.... even though nobody got to play much much. The CC is where we really need him

Wonder if they will give Rushy a game?

Unlikely with a 4 day game starting Sunday.

Good point. Better to keep him fresh for that one.
