Yeah. At that time it was impossible to see where a win would come from. Or a draw.

Yes, if you compiled a table from the last 8 games Durham would be clear top. Crucially N'hants in the final fixtures play Gloucs meanning if Durham win their last 2 games they're almost guaranteed promotion.

All set for a thrilling finish.

I had a feeling that we would probably have to win all of our last 3 matches to be in with a shout. Northants will be the stumbling block, I think. I'm not sure what our record is like at Wantage Rd, but without a spinner in the side (a decent one), it'll be tough. I have a feeling it'll be another low scoring game, and I think they'll be better equipped to win it. That being said, I wasn't expecting to come away from HQ with 19 points, so who knows?

I found this crapinfo report from day 2 quite encouraging

then it was the turn of Durham's batsmen to toil against the swinging ball.

Alex Lees and Cameron Steel did not seem overly troubled as they accelerated after lunch, with the latter unafraid to go for his shots in an opening partnership of 51.

perhaps his demons have been exorcised

I'm pretty certain they have-2 opening partnerships of 50+ against a very strong 4 pronged seam attack was the difference between the 2 sides and augers well for the future. More so if Robson can also overcome whatever demons he's had.

Burnham included in the squad tomorrow so the injury absence must have been a genuine one!
Chris Rushworth, Gareth Harte, Brydon Carse, Alex Lees, Angus Robson, Nathan Rimmington, Cameron Steel, Jack Burnham, Scott Steel, Matt Salisbury, BJ Watling, Ned Eckersley (c, wk), Ben Raine.

Yes, he was in the nets during the 2nd team game and played for Whitburn yesterday. Seems to be a while since Harte had a score so perhaps his place is at risk.

According to Martin Emmerson Tom Latham wasn't available because he's getting married.

Could be tricky batting conditions if/when play gets underway.

Early lunch so must be bad light or rain.
75/1. Either the bowling has been poor or it's one of those days where conditions should be good for bowling but turn out not to be.
Either way it's been a poor start.

We're striking back 99-3; 2 in 2 balls by Rushy.
