Almost forgot.....

our innings was stopped twice for head injury assessments as Bangers took 2 short balls straight on the helmet. Fortunately he was okay to carry on.

Wor Nige got him to take his boots off so that he could carry out the necessary concussion checks ;)

Both times the bowlers bowled short balls immediately afterwards and both times he put them away to the boundary.

It's standard procedure to ask a simple question and get the correct answer. Nigel asks "how many toes have you got" and then asked bangers to take his boots off so he could check he's given the correct answer. :D

imagine if Wor Nige was sent out to check Martin Guptil after a blow to the helmet?

that would completely flummox him

You've flummoxed me also, D/F. You'll need to explain that nuance to a thicky like me, I'm afraid.
Any changes for Worcs on Wednesday? I'd bring in Harte for Lees to give us a 6th bowling option and rotate the bowling with Rushy and Woody,if available, replacing Carse and Potts.

Guppy famously has hardly any toes, so if Nige was to do a concussion check he'd have him hospitalised as a precaution for not giving the 'right' answer

I'd leave everything alone for Wednesday, tbh.

the interesting question will be how many we can score if Bangers gets out early, and if we can even bat the overs

According to Martin Emmerson Wood is " apparently available " for tomorrow's game.

Apparently not. Unchanged squad!

Or, he is available for selection but hasn't been selected.

Yeah that could be it. I took Emmerson's comment to mean he was dubious about the availability - and naturally there's no clarification from Durham!
