As of yet, Nigel has not been engaged to supercharge the Superchargers.

D'Arcy Short not returning next year. Was offered a two year deal but has had more lucrative offers from other counties.
Difficult to comment without knowing the difference between the offers but I hope it's not a sign of trying to do things on the cheap again!

I told you he'd be inundated with offers. After seeing us at close quarters, we had no hope of getting him to sign again

North said we made a competitive offer but it's a sign of the advantage the franchises have over the other counties. They'll now have even more financial clout and players will prefer to have the same base for both the Hundred and T20.
I'm confident that North and Bangers will have enough Aussie contacts to sign an effective alternative.
I wasn't over enamoured with Short anyway :hide

Yep. They have plenty of time to find someone. Seems fairly unusual for them ro talk about overseas players rejecting a contract- maybe they're trying to be more open!

Getting their retaliation in first. There'd have been a backlash from members if, without warning, another county announced his signing.

once Matty Potts lifts him with his first ball in the dribble next year, people won't be quite so bothered

unless, of course, we held MP back until the 14th over... it is exactly the sort of thing we'd do

Here is the whole list of Players entering into this thing, and where they are in the price band. Of our non England, all are no set price, even Bancroft.... except for Gareth who is at £40,000! I always thought of him as sensible, perhaps I need to reappraise that. I notice that Salisbury and Burnham are not up for this frippery?
