North said we made a competitive offer but it's a sign of the advantage the franchises have over the other counties.They'll now have even more financial clout and players will prefer to have the same base for both the Hundred and T20.
I'm confident that North and Bangers will have enough Aussie contacts to sign an effective alternative.
I wasn't over enamoured with Short anyway

Yep. They have plenty of time to find someone. Seems fairly unusual for them ro talk about overseas players rejecting a contract- maybe they're trying to be more open!
