as far as the fixture clash goes.I have no idea why sky would even want to be covering the QF's at the same time that most of their resources were engaged somewhere else. We could have been back on the CC this week and finished our season before the Aussie season started.... or at the very least they could have discarded the stupid idea of having a solitary round of CC slap bang in the middle of the Dribble and played the QF's last week when there was no test cricket

But then I am very dim, of course. I am unlikely to see the very obvious advantages to the long term health/integrity of the game by setting the fixtures this way.

As I've said before, it is very dangerous practise to try to get into the mind of the mindless

Very true!

it would be very interesting to find out if we have made an approach to Hameed, or if we are interested, or even remotely in the running.

Indeed but I'll be very surprised if he's not in some county's squad for Tuesday.

he isn't due to leave until the end of the season with no rumours of a loan deal, so we'll have to wait and see, I suppose

There was a story- can't remember if it was a newspaper or cricinfo- that Worcs may be interested in him. Is there not a minimum loan period, have a feeling there's a cut off period towards the end of a season after which loan signings are not allowed. Not certain though!

Overseas players are still allowed, Yorkies and Taffies have just signed Patel and Brathwaite, so why not loans? Oh,hang on, FTECB set the rules.

There's a forum during the final home game. Hopefully there'll be some news there...although that might be wishful thinking.

Good luck to him. Kent seem to be ditching players atm. Either they have money to spend for strengthening, or money is tight and they are just cutting costs
