All finished pretty quickly after the class apart Bopara got out.

What a win, now can we keep it going or will it be another false dawn.

A couple of weak positions in the side, but on paper not a bad first eleven. If Vince can nail it as an opener then maybe we could challenge this season!

Forgot to mention previously.

I have heard from a reasonably reliable source that we have signed Chris Morris for the T20s this year. Not sure why it hasn’t been announced yet, might be waiting for after the IPL.

I know I'm a bit slow but I've only just seen that it's one down from Div 1 and 3 up from Div 2 this year. Surely we'll avoid any last week scrambles to be clear of bottom?

I can't see how the two new boys, Kent and Warks, can take 20 wickets on a regular basis. So I don't think the other 6 of us will need to worry too much about avoiding that one spot.

Methinks Haggis may be right about deja vu from last season.

Win our first game in the CC, and then leave it 4 months to win another!

Drop Wetherley, open with Markram and get Holland into the middle order. Sorted

Yeah Weatherley is dreadfully out of his depth at this level, and was one of the two weaknesses I alluded to the other day.

That and the keeper batsman slot.

Maybe we can get out of this game with a draw and things will still look pretty rosy. Especially as we've not had the call at the beginning of a game yet.

I think I've read the word 'toil' more times reading Hampshire reports than I have in the last year. Adi's fav word.
"It has been said of the unseen army of the dead, on their everlasting march, that when they are passing a rural cricket ground the Englishman falls out of the ranks for a moment to look over the gate and smile."
