I was watching the stream and he didn’t really go for it, Yorks just had so many round the bat that loads of easy 4s were on offer

He went aerial, and got caught (seemingly trying to clear mid-on - difficult to know without the fielder in view on the stream). You don't do that if you're just looking at batting out the day.

It's one thing putting bad balls away or taking advantage of attacking fields, it's another thing trying to take a spinner down by smashing him over a fielder.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

Shame that the weather forecast is dreadful for the rest of the match.

If only we could score 200 runs, and then bowl them for 30, in the next two hours.

Play at Canterbury starting at 1.45pm, 63 overs left in the game.

You just know that Somerset are going to steal a win.

Three and a bit sessions for Somerset to secure the win!

They've not only got the best group of players in terms of not losing any to country, but they're getting the rub of the green.

Their first ever title is theirs to lose from here, although they have still got to play us twice.

May even do the treble.

Soames finally dropped for tomorrow. Donald to come in.

Just a case of whether we go Crane or Holland. On the one hand, five seamers would seem entirely unnecessary. On the other hand, we continue to be a batter light without Dawson. The bowlers start at 7.

Must confess, I can't quite understand the logic behind choosing to bat against Porter in wet, overcast conditions. 8-2.

The amount of rain we've had in the last week meant the pitch is bound to be still damp and bowler friendly. Be interesting to hear Northeast's reasoning.

Must be as simple as not wanting to bat last

Time will tell, of course, but in the present conditions matches have barely lasted 2 days.
